Got a few things done yesterday, in preparation for our departure tomorrow. We cleared out with our agent and paid her the $110 US. So, we can leave any time. Picked up laundry from the supermarket up the street. You can leave your laundry with the marina or drop it off at the supermarket's lavanaria. It's 7000 pesos, per wash or dry, at the marina, or 3000 pesos, per kilo, at the supermarket.
Markus turned 43, so we had a bit of a party for him. We cabbed it to the church square and had a few drinks and some pizza. Then we walked over to the walled city and stopped at Tu Candela. From there we went back to the area where all the hostels are and stayed in one of the clubs there. Ran into Marina, one of the women that is also on a boat at Club Nautico. We all had fun.
Hey, guys. Looks like we're leaving for the San Blas Islands on Sunday. We'll get to see one day of the festival, so that's a bonus. It's been really hot for the past few days, so we've been trying to stay indoors during the day, and coming out in the evenings, when it's cooler.
Daniella, our agent, finally came by today and picked up our passports so she can clear us out of Columbia. Need to do a pretty big provisioning because there is nothing in the San Blas Islands. Also have to pick some American cash so I can buy some molas from the Kuna Indian women in the San Blas Islands.
I've posted some random shots of our meanderings around Cartagena.
