sailing and diving around the world
Ran into a lovely woman, Jennifer Page, while walking through St. George's. Jennifer is the caretaker of a beautiful guest rental house, in St. George's, and she offered to give us a tour. She ended up very kindly taking us on a bit of a tour of the island, too, in her car. So, if any of you are thinking of vacationing in Bermuda, you might want to give her a call. Jennifer's email is firstname.lastname@example.org and her phone # is 441 325 7301. The website is tripadvisor.com/vacationrentals
The photos are either of the tour we did in her car, or areas that are within walking distance from the guest house, including the fabulous beaches. To me, Bermuda is the island of flowers, so I took a pic of every different flower that I passed.
It took us 6 days to get to Bermuda, and it was a fairly easy passage. We had a few exhilarating bits of sailing, but we had to use the engine quite a lot. This was my third time in Bermuda, this time participating in the ARC USA, but we were there for a while so I got to know the island quite well. I rented a scooter on one of the days, and covered a huge part of the island, and I had an impromptu tour in the car of one of the locals who I met near St. George's. The ARC USA team put together a few parties and an awards dinner, so I've included some pics of that, too, along with a bunch of other pics of the island. CV Cafe, in St. George's, is a pretty good wifi spot, as is Gojo's, in the main square.
