Here's a little video of Mahon's Town Square. No doubt some of you will be looking for wifi when you're here. Reliable wifi, that is :) My 'base' away from the yacht is L'Amour. It's a little bar/restaurant on the perimeter of the square. Juan and Lucy are the charming, extremely hospitable and accommodating owners. Fabulous coffee here, guys, and the wifi is one of the strongest I've ever used. I mean, I upload fairly large videos in a matter of a couple of minutes! Two coffees, three large pastries, and one beer came to just under ten Euros.
It looks like we're not going to be able to depart Menorca til Tuesday or so. We've pretty much got the yacht squared away, as much as we can do ourselves. We're still waiting for the riggers to finish up what they're doing. In the meantime, getting to know Menorca pretty well. I found a cafe/bar that has really good wifi- Sa Fonte des Pati. It's located in the 'city square.' For those of you travelling on yachts, you're definitely going to be looking for a spot with some decent wifi, so make sure they have a strong wifi signal before you order any food or drinks. I just went into a bar/restaurant called Amadeus, a minute or two away from Sa Fonte, I was told they had wifi, so I set up my laptop, plugged in, and ordered a beer, only to find that they didn't have much of a wifi signal at all. Total waste of time, and it was a waste of beer because I left immediately in search for another place that had wifi. That's how I ended up here, at Sa Fonte.
